Stories of good

Perfect resources for our students
As a small primary school budgets are often tight. Many of our students come from financially disadvantaged backgrounds and rarely have the opportunity to have their own new products.
The kid's faces light up when they are presented with items still in the packet and they get to open them and keep them in their lockers for constant use. It may seem small to some but to our kids donations such as this brighten up their day. Donations such as these are greatly appreciated by students as they get to use resources in larger quantities and there are lots to share around.
Thank you to BIC for your generosity and to Good360 for organising this wonderful donation.

Fridges for a brighter future
The fridges that were donated have been distributed to households that had either just managed to escape domestic violence or who have just overcome homelessness.
One recipient was a single mother of 3 who had been homeless for 12 months. The impact this has had on the family has made their Christmas the most joyful in quite some time, as they feel blessed to not only have a home of their own but can complete this fresh start with a beautiful new appliance that will remain with them for many years to come.
Thanks to Good360 and the generous support of Harvey Norman, we've been able to provide six homes with refrigerators. These fridges enable families to safely store perishable food, allowing them to access rescue food hampers. This initiative helps improve their diet and overall quality of life

Fighting Hygiene Poverty
With the cost of living reaching an all-time high, many families are struggling to afford household essentials, such as cleaning items. Hygiene poverty means having to choose food over essential hygiene products and families are choosing to forego buying hygiene and sanitation products. This impacts both physical health and mental well-being.
Thankfully, help is on hand to restore dignity and improve well-being for our families in these challenging times. Good360 and its donors have been able to provide families with essential cleaning and household items. This month, we received eco-friendly bin liners and Chux multipurpose super cloths, making it easier for families to maintain a clean and healthy home.

Toys for families add extra joy
Every year we provide hampers, family packs and toys where we can to multiple families struggling and or socially isolated. Demand is always high; we experienced a higher-than-anticipated demand for families including toys requested for our 2024 Hamper Campaign. We were so grateful that we could distribute a variety of assorted Duplo and Lego sets for various age groups. Further extending the help we provided to many families.
For some parents & grandparents, the delivery of toys and hampers early December couldn’t have come at a better time. One beautiful story is that of Melody*, who was overjoyed receiving a new LEGO Duplo set. We later found out this was the first time she had ever received a brand-new toy of her own. Her parents stated, “She was very excited and thank you”.
