When did Salvation Army Riverland join Good360?
We joined Good360 in July 2023.
What programs do you use your Good360 donations for? Who does the program serve? How does it impact Australians in need?
We partner with organisations like Good360 to assist with one-to-one client programs serving all demographics experiencing financial distress. This alleviates financial hardship and reduces stress for our clients.
What is your favourite moment/interaction that you have had with a client when utilising the Good360 product?
I have enjoyed seeing children try on a new pair of shoes and the relief in the parents’ faces as they can now provide for their family. Children grow so fast and providing shoes can be a source of tension for families who struggle financially.
How does Good360 help your mission?
Our mission statement states, “Wherever there is hardship or injustice Salvos will live love and fight alongside others to transform Australia one life at a time with the love of Jesus.” Providing our clients with new items from Good360 alleviates financial hardship and enables us to deliver this mission.
What would happen if Good360 wasn’t here to help?
We would simply be forced to only focus on food security for our clients and forgo the extra things that complete the package of mind, body and soul.
What is your favourite donation you have received from Good360? Why?
It is hard to choose, but the Nike sandals would top the list. Many of our families would never be able to afford a pair of Nikes and this was a welcome donation from Good360.
How many lives have you impacted through Good360’s donations?
I would estimate at least between 3000 – 5000 lives.
