Good360 Australia, a charity that connects excess goods with people in need, has welcomed a new addition to its Board, Andrew Tyndale.
Alison Covington, Managing Director of Good360, was excited to announce such a strong addition to the Board. “Andrew brings a great depth of experience in commercial and investment banking, coupled with enormous focus on the social sector. He recognises the unique solution we provide to business by connecting excess product to people in need and wants to be part of the team creating this change in Australia ” Alison Covington, Managing Director and founder of Good360 Australia, said.
Mr Tyndale said, “I’m honoured to be joining Good360, just as it launches its new platform, the GivingPlace. I love capturing goods, which would otherwise become landfill and making them available to charities of all types. The leverage of linking the final beneficiaries back through the giving chain to the corporate donor is a great component of the GivingPlace. It is going to be an exciting time, as we build this key piece in Australia’s charity infrastructure.“
Tyndale spent 26 years in leading commercial investment banking groups and has considerable public and private board experience. Since 2008, he has been leading Grace Mutual Limited, a not-for-profit company designing investments to attract commercial capital into social infrastructure and advising government on social investment. He is currently assisting one of the working groups for the G8 TaskForce on Social Impact Investing and continues to serve on the boards of non-profits. In addition to Good360, Tyndale is a director of social and disability housing developer, Sustain Community Housing, and Chairman-elect of The Funding Network, which is disrupting traditional methods of giving in Australia by harnessing the power of collective action in support of grassroots non-profit organisations.
