Help communities in need stay happy and healthy
Good360 connects items in four areas of impact: Education, Home, Hygiene and Play.
Basic hygiene is crucial as it significantly reduces the risk of infectious diseases, improves overall health, and enhances quality of life. Good360 Australia aims to alleviate the risk of hygiene poverty by connecting households with the hygiene essentials many vulnerable communities are struggling to afford.

What is hygiene poverty?
Hygiene poverty is going without one or more hygiene products because you can’t afford them.
In 2024, research conducted by Good360 revealed that four million Australians are currently living in ‘hygiene poverty’, skipping purchasing essential personal hygiene and household cleaning products to be able to afford other essentials for their family.
Good360’s 2025 report reveals that hygiene poverty remains widespread, despite hopes that the cost-of-living crisis was easing. Women and young people are being hit the hardest, and worryingly, product donations from businesses have dropped by 43% since FY24.
This means fewer people are receiving the essentials they need to participate in school, work, and daily life with dignity.
In the first half of 2025, we’ve distributed over 390,000 brand-new hygiene items—but demand continues to rise. We’re calling on businesses, funders and decision-makers to act now. Together, we can close the hygiene gap and restore dignity for people doing it tough.
“Healthy skin is so critical. It’s our number one barrier to infection, so anything that compromises healthy skin puts you at risk... It’s an easy fix just keeping your skin clean and having a shower, but it’s becoming more obvious that’s not possible for people in poverty."

When cleanliness becomes costly
With 1 in 4 Australians ‘doing it tougher than ever before’, even more households are unable to afford more than the basic necessities of day-to-day life. As the costs of housing and food increase, items like shampoo, soap and hygiene health items have become unattainable “luxuries”.
Lacking proper hygiene is not only a financial cost – it can come at a social cost: avoiding job interview, missing work or school, or children not going to day care simply because you can’t afford the necessary items to stay clean. Research from Pinchapoo found 81% of student leaders and educators surveyed identified that children evidencing hygiene poverty were more absent than peers not experiencing hygiene poverty.
Real stories, real impact
Health and Hygiene Packs
For some, it was the first time in a long while they’d felt cared for. One client, Michael, told us, ‘I hadn’t felt this good in a long time.’ These small acts made a huge impact, helping people regain dignity, confidence, and the motivation to reconnect with others. The ripple effect was undeniable. As our clients began to feel better about their appearance, they started engaging more in social activities. The hygiene hampers, though small in size, became a powerful symbol of hope, self-worth, and the beginning of recovery. It reminded them they mattered, and they weren’t alone.

I can’t even express how much this means to me." She said. Your generosity has done more than provide practical help; it’s restored dignity, improved wellbeing, and renewed hope.
