Like most charities Good360 Australia largely operates unseen. That changed at Stockland Shellharbour on Thursday.
The operation that calls itself “Australia largest online marketplace for charity” set-up shop at the shopping centre to promote awareness of the charity across the Illawarra.
Founder and managing director of Good360 Australia, Alison Covington, stood proud at her event, amazed at the generosity unfolding in front of her eyes.
The Illawarra-raised, award-winning businesswoman bought the US not-for-proft to Australia in 2015. It matches surplus items from retailers with charities in need of goods.
The day at Shellharbour is part of a week-long program called EveryOne Day.
“It’s about giving a gift to everyone on the planet,” Mrs Covington explained. “We’re fundraising to make sure we can help charities with everyday essentials.
