Member of the Month – Rise Which Way

Rise Which Way Inc. is dedicated to breaking the cycle of reoffending by providing vital support to individuals as they transition from prison back into the community. Since joining Good360 in 2023, they have used donated essentials to remove barriers that often stand in the way of a fresh start. Their ID and Essentials Package Project, funded by the Sisters of Charity, ensures that recently released individuals have access to necessities like identification, clothing, and communication tools—critical resources for rebuilding stability and confidence. Through their work, Rise Which Way Inc. is empowering people to move forward with dignity, and we are proud to spotlight them as our Member of the Month.

When did Rise Which Way join Good360?
Rise Which Way Inc joined Good360 in 2023 to enhance our ability to support individuals in need, particularly those reintegrating into society after incarceration.

What programs do you use your Good360 donations for? Who does the program serve? How does it impact Australians in need?
We primarily use Good360’s services for our ID and Essentials Package Project, funded by the Sisters of Charity. This initiative supports 100 recently released prisoners over 12 months, providing essentials like photo ID, toiletries, clothing, transport assistance, food gift cards, and emergency contact information. Good360’s partnership with Optus allowed us to receive SIM cards with 12 months of free credit and data. This has been particularly impactful, ensuring our clients can stay connected to family, support services, and employment opportunities. Access to communication is crucial in reducing isolation, building confidence, and fostering successful reintegration into the community.

What is your favourite moment/interaction that you have had with a client when utilising the Good360 product?
One of our most memorable moments was witnessing a client, who had just been released from prison, reconnect with their family after years apart using a donated Optus SIM card. The joy and relief in their voice as they spoke to loved ones was incredibly moving. This simple yet powerful act of connection helped them regain a sense of belonging and motivated them to take positive steps forward.

How does Good360 help your mission?
Good360 helps Rise Which Way Inc by providing essential items that remove barriers to successful reintegration. Through their generous donations, we can offer our clients the resources they need to rebuild their lives with dignity and stability. Whether it’s a SIM card to keep them connected, clothing for a fresh start, or toiletries to maintain self-care, Good360 plays a key role in our mission to empower individuals and reduce recidivism.

What would happen if Good360 wasn’t here to help?
Without Good360, many of our clients would face even greater financial and social challenges upon release. The ability to communicate, access support services, and maintain stability would be significantly limited, increasing the risk of homelessness, unemployment, and re-offending. Good360’s support ensures that our clients can start their new chapter with hope and practical assistance.

What is your favourite donation you have received from Good360? Why?
The Optus SIM cards with 12 months of free credit and data have been our most impactful donation. They provide a vital communication lifeline for our clients, enabling them to stay in touch with loved ones, attend job interviews, and access critical services. For individuals transitioning back into society, having a reliable means of communication is not just convenient—it’s life-changing.

How many lives have you impacted through Good360’s donations?
Through Good360’s generous support, we have positively impacted the lives of at least 100 individuals per year in our ID and Essentials Package Project, with additional beneficiaries reached through other community support initiatives.
