Congratulations to our Member of the Month, Human Appeal Australia, who have worked to distribute aid to flood-affected communities, and collaborated with organisations to ensure maximum reach and impact. Recently, Human Appeal teams from Sydney and Brisbane were joined by Mr Jihad Dib MP, Member for Lakemba, Councillor Bilal El-Hayek of Canterbury Bankstown, a group of volunteers, and Good360 to not only show support for people affected by the floods, but to also make generous donations to organisations in Lismore and Mullumbimby. This included a $5000 donation to Resilient Lismore, plus a donation of $40,000 worth of whitegoods and essentials to Mullumbimby & District Neighbourhood Centre to distribute to local families. We joined Good360 in 2019.
What programs do you use your Good360 donations for? Who does the program serve? How does it impact Australians in need?
- HOPE – “Helping Older People Engage”, dedicated to fight isolation caused by COVID-19 for seniors
- Local Flood Relief
- Financial Assistance: Helping disadvantaged families and individuals with food parcels, hygiene kits, and financial assistance covering their utilities invoices
- School and Youth initiatives
- Local events and fundraising activities
What is your favourite moment/interaction that you have had with a client when utilising the Good360 product?
The partnership with Good360 in helping the local communities in Lismore and Mullumbimby in NSW, the items sourced through Good360 have made the locals there very happy. They were surveyed and asked for the items they needed the most. The items were arranged through Good360 and delivered to locals during a community day at Mullumbimby.
How does Good360 help your mission?
Human Appeal Australia has been in Australia for over 31 years, serving those in need in 32 locations around the world and locally. The support provided by Good360 helps Human Appeal aid locals affected by natural disasters, and in case of emergencies like COVID-19. The items donated by Good360 made a huge difference in reducing the costs and adds great value to the projects running locally in Australia.
What would happen if Good360 wasn’t here to help?
Human Appeal Australia depends on donations to run local projects. The less expenditure paid, the more donations are utilised to help those in need. The items received from Good360 adds value to our campaigns and gives us more value for our dollars and adds more to what we can deliver to those in need locally.
