Charity groups link to bring cheer to Hay

Media Coverage
The Riverine Grazier; April 24, 2024

Linking Communities Network Ltd and Good360 Australia visited Hay last week to facilitate the donation of a truckload of essential household items to locals impacted by the 2022 floods.

These included clothing, homewares, school and office supplies, personal hygiene and cleaning products.

Good360 is a charitable organisation, connecting other charities, schools and society’s most vulnerable with businesses willing to donate unsold or surplus goods, services and disaster recovery essentials.

Their mission is to ensure the excess goods and services businesses produce every year flow to people in need rather than going to waste.

The donated goods were made available to the Hay community during a barbecue at Hay Lions Park.

Linking Communities Network CEO, Yvonne Wilson said the communities of Hay, Hillston, Darlington Point and Narrandera were identified for flood recovery assistance.

The project has been funded thanks to support of the NSW Government via the NGO Flood Recovery Program.
