Celebrating the Women of Western Sydney

Media Coverage
Western Sydney University News Centre; March 13, 2024

Western Sydney University has celebrated International Women’s Day this year by announcing the winners of the inaugural Women of Western Sydney Awards.

The awards pay tribute to the women who live, work and support the western Sydney community, recognising the contributions they make to the region and honouring their achievements.

Professor Alphia Possamai-Inesedy, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Engagement and Advancement, is proud to bring these awards to life and to celebrate the achievements of all the nominees.

“These awards are a significant step in recognising the women who work hard to ensure that western Sydney continues to be a place where the community is supported and growing in a sustainable way,” said Professor Possamai-Inesedy.
