When Martha Raupp found herself on a panel interviewing women in startups she got more than she bargained for when she met Alison Covington, MD and Founder of Good360 Australia.
In October 2018, Good360 welcomed Martha Raupp, Growth Markets and Acting TMT BD Leader, Ernst & Young, to the Board of Directors, and is thankful for her 20 years of experience in strategy, marketing and business development across sectors including corporates like Apple, founder-led companies like The Food Group, non-profits including UnitingCare and government like NSW FACS as well as activities for startups and family businesses. It is via her work with startups and in particular the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women Program, that she first crossed paths with Good360.
Raupp says ‘Having established itself at the heart of doing good for the environment, helping disadvantaged people in Australia, and providing a fiscally and socially responsible solution for businesses with excess stock, Good360 is now poised to be a major catalyst for change. It is simply absurd that perfectly good brand-new merchandise is sitting idle in warehouses or worse still going to landfill, while thousands of vulnerable people go without. The dignity afforded to someone receiving brand new items is without measure, yet as a startup, the name Good360 isn’t yet widely known. I aim to help change that. Every Australian business, consumer and charity should know Good360’s name, and I look forward to working with the Good360 team to help make connections, and spread the word about this fantastic organisation.’
Covington responded ‘Martha has exceptional skills in attracting innovative and passionate people and connecting like-minded individuals for collaboration, for this reason we are excited and privileged to have her on the Good360 team.’
John Shin left the Board in October 2018, and MD/ Founder Alison Covington and her fellow non-executive Directors appreciate his 3 years of service and wish him well with his future endeavours and board representations.
