We’re thrilled to announce Hobart Clothing Hub as Good360’s Member of the Month for July! Based in southern Tasmania, this volunteer-run organisation provides free clothing and essentials to people doing it tough, from students in transitional housing to adults rebuilding their lives. In just a few months as a Good360 Member, they’ve already made a powerful impact, helping more than 200 people access warm, high-quality clothing with dignity. Read on to hear how Good360 donations are helping restore confidence, comfort, and connection in their community.
When did Hobart Clothing Hub join Good360?
We joined Good360 in April, 2025.
What programs do you use your Good360 donations for? Who does the program serve? How does it impact Australians in need?
The clothing products we have accessed through Good360 are available to all guests who access the Hobart Clothing Hub. We work with over 80 not-for-profit programs and government agencies across southern Tasmania, and provided support to over 1380 individuals in 2024. The clothing has been particularly impactful for the vulnerable high school and college students we support.
What is your favourite moment/interaction that you have had with a client when utilising the Good360 product?
Sneakers are a frequently requested item which we have struggled to provide prior to our engagement with Good360. A recent order for sneakers and track pants included one pair of soccer boots. We were unsure how we were going to utilise these, and took them on a school visit hoping the school nurse could help us locate someone that needed them. That line of enquiry was not successful. Our visit that day was to support 8 students at the school; 3 of these students were living in shelters and another 2 were in highly unstable accommodation. One of the girls living in a shelter was selecting clothing along with a friend. When she looked at the shoes we had available, she saw the soccer boots. She had been playing soccer for several years and they were her size. They found a perfect home with someone who would not be in a position to even dream of purchasing a pair of Nike soccer boots.
How does Good360 help your mission?
The mission statement of the Hobart Clothing Hub is: Clothing our community with hope and compassion. Our values are Compassion, Dignity, Connection and Action. The value of Dignity encompasses “We believe everyone deserves to feel seen, valued and respected. Through our work, we uphold the inherent value of every individual, ensuring that support is given in a way that affirms self-worth and restores confidence.” Living in a culture with such a heavy emphasis on image, many vulnerable teenagers and young adults are heavily impacted by the need to present themselves in the “acceptable” brands and styles currently favoured by their peers. Having access to high-quality brands through Good360 allows us to carry some items of clothing that might otherwise be inaccessible to vulnerable people.
What would happen if Good360 weren’t here to help?
Our experience has been that many vulnerable people, particularly adolescents, would rather go without essential clothing if the “appropriate” brands or styles are not available. They would rather be cold than uncool. In just the few months we have been working with Good360, we have already been able to provide warm trackpants, hoodies, tees and sneakers to many individuals to meet their needs in the cold Tasmanian climate.

The Nike branded products – trackpants, hoodies and sneakers.
How many lives have you impacted through Good360’s donations?
It’s hard to provide a figure given how young our engagement is; the clothing has been available over a 2 month period to approximately 200 guests we have supported.
