Welcome to Our New Good360 Team Members

We are excited to share that the Good360 Australia team is growing, and we have welcomed six new members these past few months.

Let us introduce you to Samantha, Sean, Ákos, Lyndal, Peter, and Caroline.

Samantha McCansh

Where in Australia are you?
I currently live in Sydney, NSW.

What is your Role and when did you start at Good360?
I am the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary for Good360. I started working for the organisation in February 2022.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!
Growing up on a farm with my brother and sister was so wonderful. We always had lots of freedom and independence coupled with the responsibility of daily “chores”. I especially liked having the space to have lots of animals – horse, lambs, calves, rabbits, cats, turtles, and pigs. Though I now live in the city I love the opportunity to get out into nature and especially exploring the world around us hiking with friends. I am lucky to live near National Parks that were a godsend during the COVID lockdowns.

What are you most looking forward to, or what have you enjoyed so far, as part of the Good360 team?
It has been such a privilege for me to join such a fabulous organisation that contributes so much to communities and individuals in need. The organisation has achieved so much in seven short years, especially during the recent natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic. The organisation, by matching brand-new goods to people in need, creates benefits for the donors, the people in need and our planet. I am looking forward to working more closely with the exceptional team to deliver even greater benefits to people and the planet into the future.

Sean Dostal

Where in Australia are you?
Melbourne, VIC.

What is your Role and when did you start at Good360?
I am the Partnerships Manager for Victoria and Tasmania and I started in August, 2022. My role includes:

  • Working with companies wanting to donate products and provide other support to help people and the planet.
  • Working with charities and disadvantaged schools to match product donations to their clients critical needs and reduce their operational costs.
  • Working with governments and philanthropists on disaster recovery initiatives, environmental sustainability and broad support for the charity sector.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!
I enjoy being scared silly on really fast roller coasters. My favourites are the Incredicoaster at Disney California Adventure and the Flying Dinosaur at Universal Studios Japan.

What are you most looking forward to, or what have you enjoyed so far, as part of the Good360 team?
I have really enjoyed assisting the communities of Shepparton and Echuca in the early stages of flood recovery. $300,000 of product donations and counting are really helping those communities get back on their feet.

Ákos Lumnitzer

Where in Australia are you?
Sydney, NSW.

What is your Role and when did you start at Good360?
I started at the end of August 2022 as Head of Operations.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!
There are many to list. In my non-work life, I am a professional wildlife photographer, and my wife and I are about to launch our own travel/photography adventure brand.
In my spare time I have been a wildlife rescue volunteer for 15 years and I specialise in rescuing and rehabilitating birds of prey. I am also a self-taught guitar player with a love for hard rock and metal. I am a huge fan of the bands Dream Theater, Megadeth, Iron Maiden and Van Halen. Eddie Van Halen is my musical inspiration and I cried a river the day I found out that he had passed away. I can talk about wildlife and the above bands so if you ask, be ready for a Ted Talk!

What are you most looking forward to, or what have you enjoyed so far, as part of the Good360 team?
I absolutely love the feeling of inclusiveness and the support offered from every single member of the Good360 team. The culture is the best I have ever experienced in my working career. I can honestly say, that being able to work in an organisation with such noble and human goals to help fellow Australians who are at their worst moments in life, due to whatever tragedies they may have to face, is the most incredible feeling. I love being part of this support structure to bring comfort and joy to people who are in need and I look forward to the challenges, but with an amazing operations team on my side we can conquer all challenges.

Lyndal Vozzo

Where in Australia are you?
I am located in Sydney and bounce between the inner city and out west.  You could say I go from Hill to Hill.

What is your Role and when did you start at Good360?
My role is Partnerships Manager NSW/ACT and I started on 19 November, 2022 (and I am feeling it).

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!
Fun fact about me is that I was on reality TV, however I am officially retired as a D-Grade celebrity.

What are you most looking forward to, or what have you enjoyed so far, as part of the Good360 team?
I am looking forward to making a difference to and with the team, alongside our partners, our members and the broader community.  So far I have enjoyed hearing about Ákos’ passion for birds of prey.  I especially enjoyed meeting a little fledgling on my first morning at the ReDistribution Centre.  I was also very thankful he didn’t have a passion for rearing spiders
they terrify me!

Peter McKinney

Where in Australia are you?
Sydney, NSW.

What is your Role and when did you start at Good360?
Revenue and General Growth Manager, and I started in November 2022.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!
Having spent the first 18 years growing up in a small town (Inverell, NSW) I have since had the opportunity to live and work across the globe in places as a kid I only dreamed of, like Japan, the USA, and NZ.

What are you most looking forward to, or what have you enjoyed so far, as part of the Good360 team?
I am looking forward to bringing my commercial experience to help increase Good360 engagement with corporates in order to get both more product and cash donations so that Good360 can do even more to make a difference.

Caroline Adams

I’ve kept the ticket from every movie I’ve seen in the cinema since Pretty Woman came out!

What are you most looking forward to, or what have you enjoyed so far, as part of the Good360 team?
So far I’ve loved that the entire Good360 team is genuinely passionate about, and committed to, helping people as well as helping the planet – and we all bring different experiences and skills to the table, working together to bring our purpose to life!

With Australia accelerating efforts towards circularity by 2030, it is critical that all sectors of the economy and society are working together collaboratively and cooperatively to address the increasing resource constraints, inequities in resource allocation and growing waste challenges. This requires consumers, businesses, governments, and the charitable sector to all play their part in creating a more sustainable and equitable future for all, recognising we are all part of a collective dynamic ecosystem that is co-creating our future together.

International Women’s Day 2023 – Cracking the Code at Good360 Australia

March 8 is International Women’s Day, and this year UN Women Australia’s 2023 theme is ‘Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender equal future’. This brings an opportunity for everyone to acknowledge the power of innovative technologies and systems in the advancement of women, who are marginalised globally and have a smaller presence in the digital world. We are also challenged to address the current barriers in place that keep women stagnant and play our small part to welcome women to move through society as comfortably as men.
