Meet The New Good360 Team Members

We are happy to announce that we have welcomed five new members to the Good360 Australia family in the past month.

Let us introduce you to our newest team members; Ishika, Paula, Liz, Hayley, and Chantelle.

Ishika Maharaj

Where in Australia are you? Sydney, NSW

What is your Role and when did you start at Good360? Receptionist, I started in April 2022.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself! I love exploring new places and can be very spontaneous, I’m a bit of a gym addict and I love everything about cars (and yes, Fast & Furious is my favourite movie!)

What are you most looking forward to, or what have you enjoyed so far, as part of the Good360 team? So far, I’ve enjoyed the warm welcome and meeting such an inspiring and dedicated team at Good360. I’ve been blown away by how supportive and inclusive everyone has been. I can’t wait to continue learning, do my part in helping our community and to be a part of such an amazing, growing organisation.

Paula Harvison

Where in Australia are you? Sydney, NSW

What is your Role and when did you start at Good360? Customer Service Agent – I started on the 20th of April this year, the week before 7th Birthday celebrations!

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!  I love to feed the wild birds in the mornings! I had my own vegan catering business in the Blue Mountains, and I love to cook and develop vegan recipes. I am currently learning photography and working on a cookbook.

What are you most looking forward to, or what have you enjoyed so far, as part of the Good360 team? I have enjoyed meeting the entire team, learning about everyone’s roles, and finding out about what is in the pipeline for Good360! The onboarding process has been amazing, it’s nice to feel so valued and supported when starting in a new organisation. I particularly liked hearing the stories from some of the members I spoke to at the Birthday Event. One lady from a company that had donated hair accessories to Good360 told me she had just met someone from the Cerebral Palsy Alliance who received their donation. She was so genuinely thrilled to see that her donation had made a difference to the lives of others. Her joy felt infectious! This community philanthropy is exciting to hear about, as people work together to find solutions for waste whilst simultaneously helping others. I feel lucky to be here and I look forward to contributing in any way I can.

Liz Finlayson

Where in Australia are you? Blue Mountains, NSW

What is your Role and when did you start at Good360? I am in Customer Service which I started on the 26th of April this year. I previously worked for a year and a half with our Warehouse team alongside the volunteers up until November last year.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself! I have never broken a bone even though I did competitive gymnastics for 10 years. I love watching thriller movies but always have to watch a family movie after so I don’t have nightmares because I am definitely a wuss.

What are you most looking forward to, or what have you enjoyed so far, as part of the Good360 team? I love the culture that has been built at Good360, everyone works here because they want to give back. Everyone wants to see each other succeed so the morale is incredible!

Hayley Moffiet

What is your Role and when did you start at Good360? My role as Head of Sustainability will include partnering with Australian businesses to support them on their sustainability and social impact journeys. I started (officially) in the team in late April 2022, however, I have been volunteering ProBono since 2018.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself! I love being in nature and hiking/trekking, over the years I have been very fortunate to travel and hike in 5 out of 7 continents. Two of my favourite treks have been Mt Kilimanjaro, Tanzania and Everest basecamp, Nepal.

What are you most looking forward to, or what have you enjoyed so far, as part of the Good360 team? The values of Good360 are really aligned with mine. I love how Good360 provide win-win solutions that are good for people and the planet. It’s incredible to see the positive impact Good360 and its partners have had in Australian communities over the last 7 years, especially during times of crisis and disaster recovery. I see Good360 as playing a critical role in helping to boost resilience in Australian communities and support businesses transition towards zero waste and the circular economy. I am excited to join the team to play my small part in this move towards a more sustainable and equitable future.

Chantelle Arancon

What is your Role and when did you start at Good360? Marketing Coordinator. I started at Good360 in late April with Paula, Ishika, and Hayley.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself! Throughout my life I have learned how to play five instruments.

What are you most looking forward to, or what have you enjoyed so far, as part of the Good360 team? I love that I’m not the only newbie on the block, and that I’ve been able to learn about the ins and outs of the company with the other new starters! Before starting I saw how much of an impact Good360 has had on communities across Australia and it made me look forward to becoming a part of this growing and nimble team. I’m excited I’ll be able to create some Good within my role and help spread the word about this amazing organisation.

With Australia accelerating efforts towards circularity by 2030, it is critical that all sectors of the economy and society are working together collaboratively and cooperatively to address the increasing resource constraints, inequities in resource allocation and growing waste challenges. This requires consumers, businesses, governments, and the charitable sector to all play their part in creating a more sustainable and equitable future for all, recognising we are all part of a collective dynamic ecosystem that is co-creating our future together.

International Women’s Day 2023 – Cracking the Code at Good360 Australia

March 8 is International Women’s Day, and this year UN Women Australia’s 2023 theme is ‘Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender equal future’. This brings an opportunity for everyone to acknowledge the power of innovative technologies and systems in the advancement of women, who are marginalised globally and have a smaller presence in the digital world. We are also challenged to address the current barriers in place that keep women stagnant and play our small part to welcome women to move through society as comfortably as men.
