Welcome to Our New Good360 Board Members

Good360 Australia are overjoyed to welcome five new directors to our board. We are excited to be expanding the immense knowledge and experience of the existing board, with the addition of some incredible talent, who are understandably passionate about the Good360 mission, and emboldened by the impact and growth we have managed to achieve, particularly in the last year.

The Good360 board play a vital role in helping guide the organisations mission, using their vast expertise to fill potential gaps or add additional knowledge to our team. As Good360 looks to ramp up our operations in 2022, it’s no mistake our five new directors have careers focused in technology, media, finance retail and operations. It’s this new influx of talent, coupled with our hard-working existing board members, and of course the greater Good360 team, that is going to see us strive towards our goal of distributing $1billion of goods to Australians in need, by 2025.

While we are thrilled to welcome these new directors to our board, we are also saddened to say goodbye to two existing members, who have played an instrumental part in the success Good360 has had to date. Adam Gordon and Peter Shorthouse have worked passionately and tirelessly during their tenure, and our accomplishments to date would not have been as great without their contributions. Some of those milestone achievements include surpassing 26million items connected to Australian’s in need, which equates to over $200million(RRP) donated to our more than 3,000 member charities and schools.

We are also saying farewell and thank you to our incredibly talented board observer for 2021, Alex Storey. It has been wonderful having her contribution and energy and we are sure that she will have an incredible career as a board director in the future.

The power of turning surplus inventory into social good

With Australia accelerating efforts towards circularity by 2030, it is critical that all sectors of the economy and society are working together collaboratively and cooperatively to address the increasing resource constraints, inequities in resource allocation and growing waste challenges. This requires consumers, businesses, governments, and the charitable sector to all play their part in creating a more sustainable and equitable future for all, recognising we are all part of a collective dynamic ecosystem that is co-creating our future together.

March 8 is International Women’s Day, and this year UN Women Australia’s 2023 theme is ‘Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender equal future’. This brings an opportunity for everyone to acknowledge the power of innovative technologies and systems in the advancement of women, who are marginalised globally and have a smaller presence in the digital world.
