The Mercy Foundation has made a $5000 grant to Good360 to assist the funding of their GivingPlace, an innovative IT platform which will facilitate product philanthropy between corporate donors and non-profits.

Good360’s mission is to connect businesses who have excess goods with charities and people who need them. The Good360 GivingPlace, which will go live at the end of this year, will underpin Good360’s operations in Australia. Good360 has already operated successfully for three decades in the USA distributing over $8 billion of essential products to those in need and is now being established in Australia under the strong leadership of Alison Covington.

Mercy Foundation CEO Felicity Reynolds hopes that the Good360 GivingPlace will have a powerful impact on organisations who serve people in need.

Alison Covington, Good360 Australia’s Managing Director, agreed. “For the first time there will be a one source platform for companies to provide products to do good, charities to request those products to fulfill their mission objectives, and now individuals to take action to support the causes they love. All under one roof. A powerful tool to do good better.”

Ahead of the GivingPlace going live in December, Good360 will commence Earlybird Registrations for non-profits on September 1st. A limited number of places are available for charities to be pre-approved in time for the Christmas rush in December. These charities will have first access to the GivingPlace, to do more good in their communities.
