INVESTA OFFICE DONATES FURITURE TO CHARITY OFFICES THROUGH PRODUCT PHILANTHROPY ORGANISATION GOOD360

Investa Office, Australia’s leading owner and manager of commercial office buildings, has donated over 100 pieces of office furniture to Assistance Dogs Australia and Epilepsy Action Australia through Good360, a charity that facilitates product philanthropy between businesses and non-profits.

Investa Office has recently become product partners of Good360, a charity that links business with excess goods to charities in need through an online marketplace called the GivingPlace.

The donation, over 100 pieces of furniture, was facilitated in advance of the December launch of the Good360 GivingPlace.

Kerin Welford, Fundraising Manager of Assistance Dogs Australia, said of the donation: “Assistance Dogs Australia was absolutely delighted to be contacted with the offer of donated office furniture as we were about to move in to a new office. It was so timely!

“The furniture was exactly what we wanted and we are grateful for the support we received from Good360 and Investa.”

Epilepsy Action Australia also used the furniture donation to entirely refurbish their call centre in Epping. In lieu of this, Epilepsy Action Australia has donated $3000 to assist Good360 in their efforts to launch nationwide in December 2014.

Good360 Managing Director, Alison Covington, stated that: “Stories like these show how much product philanthropy is needed in Australia. It’s not just about the efficiency and the cost savings – it’s about supporting the charities in our communities who work tirelessly to help Australians in need.”

Good360 has commenced Early bird Registrations for non-profits. A limited number of places are available for charities to be pre-approved by December. These charities will have first access to exclusive corporate donations to do more good in their communities.

Founded in 1996, Assistance Dogs Australia trains Labradors and Golden Retrievers to help people with disabilities. These dogs allow recipients to have greater mobility, higher self-esteem and gain confidence. Every dog costs $27,000 to be trained.
