Christmas Cheer Spread To Those Who Need It Most

The hard working elves at the Smithfield-based charity Good360 have been working to get their festive goodie bags prepared, ready to distribute to worthy causes across Australia.

So far, staff have already prepared 5000 bags, tailored to different age groups.

The money donated by the public through the goodie bag campaign will help fill the goodie bags which will be sent to charities who will then distribute them within their communities and causes.

The buyer receives a certificate from Good360, which makes a great Kris-Kringle gift for someone “who has everything”. If a child buys the Goodie Bag for an Australian child in need, the certificate comes as a colouring-in stencil.

The Goodie Bags campaign makes great corporate gifts for people who have everything, works similar to the Oxfam ‘unwrapped’ initiative that invites people to purchase a ‘goat’ for a village in need.

Good360 is a way for businesses to donate new unsold goods to charities and not-for-profit organisations.

The Goodie Bags can be purchased online for $25 each and donated to Australians in need.

The charity accepts non-perishable goods donated from some of Australia’s biggest brands, retailers and manufacturers including L’Oreal, Woolworths, 3M, Linen House and LUSH.

Goodie Bags will only be going to the 450 Australian charities registered with Good360.

Moira Hodgekiss, from a special needs group in rural NSW, said the gifts were unique.

“It is so wonderful to receive brand new toys for the first time,” she said.

“This means children in our community get a brand new present this Christmas.”
